Dr. David Van earned his undergraduate degree in nutritional science at The University of Texas at Austin and his medical degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. He completed his residency in the Memorial Family Residency Program in Sugar Land, Texas, where he also served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Van is board certified in family medicine. He sees patients of all ages for chronic and acute primary care conditions including diabetes, high blood pressure, flu-like symptoms and infections.

In addition to his board certification, Dr. Van is a certified emergency medical technician and licensed pharmacy technician. He also holds certificates in advanced obstetrical life support, pediatric advanced life support and advanced cardiovascular life support

Dr. Van’s approach to practice focuses on seeing the patient as a person rather than the condition itself. His goal is not only to help alleviate current symptoms, but also to shape health habits, build life-long relationships and improve patients’ quality of life.

Away from his practice, Dr. Van likes to spend time with his partner Lauren, dog Minnie Van and his family, which includes 10 nieces and nephews. He also enjoys cooking new Asian dishes and exploring the many great foods in Houston.
