Dr. Christopher Anyakorah, MD

After finishing his medical degree at Windsor University School of Medicine. Basseterre, St Kitts, Dr. Christopher Anyakorah earned a master’s degree in public health at Argosy University School of Public Health in Atlanta. He completed his residency at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee.

A board-certified family and obesity medicine specialist, Dr. Anyakorah sees patients of all ages. He treats acute conditions, such as migraines, arthritis, colds, flu, sprains and other minor injuries, as well as chronic conditions, including high blood pressure and diabetes.

Dr. Anyakorah also has experience as a clinical educator, clinical case manager and community outreach specialist.

A native of Nigeria, Dr. Anyakorah’s exposure to a variety of cultures enables him to relate to patients from diverse backgrounds. His collaborative approach to care reflects his practice philosophy that “The physician guides, the patient decides.”

He builds personal relationships with patients, listening carefully and helping them define their health goals. Recognizing that “one size doesn’t fit all,” he develops different strategies and treatment plans that give patients choices on how to reach their objectives.
