Houston native Dr. Willis Nnaji earned his undergraduate degree in health sciences from Baylor University in Waco, his master’s degree in biomedical science at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth and his medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in St. Martin. He completed his family medicine residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.
Dr. Nnaji, who is board certified in family medicine, has been in practice since 2020. He sees patients for all types of acute conditions, chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and asthma and preventive health measures. His primary clinical interests are obesity medicine, lifestyle medicine and preventive medicine, with a special interest in helping patients get A1C (blood sugar level), cholesterol and blood pressure under control.
His practice philosophy is both collaborative and patient-centered. Seeing himself as an advocate and a health coach, he provides patients with tools they can use to reach their health goals and improve their quality of life.
He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American College of Lifestyle Medicine and Obesity Medicine Association.
