Dr. Cesar Calvo, MD

Dr. Cesar Calvo earned his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Houston and his medical degree from the University of the East, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City, Philippines. He completed his family medicine residency at HCA Houston Healthcare West-University of Houston and HCA Sunrise Health-Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas.

Dr. Calvo, who is board certified in family medicine, sees patients of all ages for a full range of primary care. In addition to English, he has a working proficiency in Tagalog.

His primary clinical interests include chronic disease management, preventive care and weight management. Among the outpatient clinical procedures he provides are pap smears, laceration repairs, toenail avulsions, abscess incision and drainage, knee injections, endometrial biopsies, colposcopies and birth control implant and removal.

Dr. Calvo’s approach to care is based on teamwork. He wants his patients to see him as a physician who listens and genuinely cares about what’s going on in their lives. He also wants them to leave appointments with a better understanding of what’s going on and with confidence about the next steps.

He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and American Medical Association.
