Dr. Carmen Kagha earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Fisk University in Nashville, Tenn., and her medical degree at Spartan Health Sciences University School of Medicine in Vieux Fort, St. Lucia. She completed her residency in the Spectrum Health-Michigan State University Family Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Kagha, who is board certified in family medicine, has been in practice since 2017. In addition to her board certification, she holds certificates in basic life support, advanced cardiovascular life support, pediatric advanced life support, neonatal resuscitation and advanced life support in obstetrics.
She treats patients ages 13 and up for chronic conditions, including diabetes and high blood pressure, and acute conditions, including upper respiratory infections and urinary tract infections. She also provides Medicare and wellness exams and sports physicals for young athletes. Her primary clinical interests include women’s health, including contraception management, and management of chronic conditions.
Her approach to patient care is a team effort. She wants her patients to see her as a caring and empathetic physician who listens carefully to their concerns and works with them to come up with an effective plan to meet their health care goals.
Dr. Kagha is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
