Dr. Ann Heikkinen, MD

Dr. Ann Heikkinen earned her medical degree at Louisiana State University in New Orleans and completed her residency at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie, Louisiana.

Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Heikkinen has been in practice since 2005, the majority of those years in Sugar Land. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians. Her major clinical interest, preventative care, inspires her practice philosophy, which focuses on prevention and education for patients of all ages. She treats whole families, helping patients to understand their condition, treatment options and goals.

Dr. Heikkinen, who lives in the Medical Center/Rice University area, is married and is the mother of three children. Her favorite activities are reading, exercising, boating and spending time with her family.
