Dr. Lyubov Olenina, MD

After earning her medical degree from Astrakhan State Medical Academy, Dr. Lyubov Olenina completed her residency in internal medicine at Florida Hospital Medical Center in Orlando and a fellowship in endocrinology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport.

Dr. Olenina is board certified in two areas: internal medicine and endocrinology as well as diabetes and metabolism. She has been in practice since 2002.

She treats patients for diabetes, thyroid disease, pituitary conditions and endocrine disorders. Her primary clinical interests are thyroid conditions such as thyroid cancer, diabetes and diabetic technology.

It’s important for Dr. Olenina to understand how a medical condition affects someone’s life, so she approaches patients with curiosity and compassion. She welcomes questions and works with every patient to create a treatment plan that the person can be comfortable with. Her patients say she takes time to listen, offers excellent explanations and helps them feel better.

She is a member of the Endocrine Society, National Lipid Association and American Diabetes Association.
