Dr. Payal Dixit, DO

Dr. Payal Patel, a native of Houston, earned her medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center. She completed an internship at University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center in Richmond Heights, Ohio, and her residency in dermatology at Michigan State University-Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan, where she served as chief resident. She finished fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery and procedural dermatology at Affiliated Dermatologists and Dermatologic Surgeons in New Jersey.

In practice since 2007, Dr. Patel is board certified in dermatology. She specializes in skin cancer removal techniques that typically result in excellent medical and cosmetic outcomes. Her patients are particularly impressed with how clearly she shares instructions for taking care of their conditions.

She is a fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. Her advanced training includes advanced dermatologic surgery, cosmetic and laser procedures and advanced facial reconstructions. She has published numerous articles in medical journals and lectured on dermatology-related topics including Mohs micrographic surgery.
