A native Houstonian, Dr. Alpesh Desai completed his medical education at Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri, and completed his surgical internship and dermatology residency at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.

Board certified in dermatology, Dr. Desai has clinical interests in all aspects of pediatric and adult dermatology including general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. His clinic provides Mohs micrographic surgery.

Dr. Desai’s patient care philosophy is to use emerging technology to deliver advanced patient care with a personal and caring touch. His goal has always been to educate and advance the care of dermatology diseases and skin cancer.

Named as one of Houston’s Best Physicians by Health & Fitness Sports Magazine in 2007, 2008 and 2009, Dr. Desai has authored medical articles in dermatology journals, presented at national conferences and has been featured in print and broadcast media. Dr. Desai has donated his dermatology services to local charities and was awarded the Honor of Distinction by the Asian American Physician Association for his contributions to orphanages in Southeast Asia. He is a member of professional medical societies, including the Harris County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association and American Academy of Dermatology.
