Dr. Nuria Lacuey Lecumberri is fellowship trained in epilepsy and neurophysiology and sees adult patients for a variety of neurological disorders and conditions.

Dr. Lacuey Lecumberri received her medical degree from the Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona, Spain and completed residency training in neurology at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona. She subsequently trained in epilepsy and neurophysiology with a two-year fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, joining the faculty there in 2016.

She received her doctorate cum laude from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2018 with a dissertation on sudden unexpected death in epilepsy. She joined the Department of Neurology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston in 2019. An assistant professor of neurology at McGovern Medical School, Dr. Lacuey Lecumberri treats adult patients at UTHealth Neurosciences-Neurology. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

La Dra. Nuria Lacuey Lecumberri está especializada en epilepsia y neurofisiología y atiende a pacientes adultos para una variedad de trastornos y condiciones neurológicas.

Dr. Lacuey Lecumberri recibió su título de médico de la Universidad de Navarra en Pamplona, España y completó la formación de residencia en neurología en el Hospital Universitario Vall d'Hebron de Barcelona. Posteriormente se formó en epilepsia y neurofisiología con una especialización de dos años en la Universidad Case Western Reserve en Cleveland, Ohio, uniéndose a dicha facultad en el 2016.

Recibió su doctorado cum laude de la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona en 2018 con una disertación sobre la muerte súbita inesperada en la epilepsia. Pasó a ser miembro del Departamento de Neurología de la Escuela de Medicina McGovern en UTHealth Houston en 2019. En calidad de profesor asistente de neurología en la Escuela de Medicina McGovern, la Dra.
