Dr. Thieu Gene Nguyen received his medical degree and residency training at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He then completed a fellowship in cardiology at The University of Texas School of Medicine at San Antonio.

Board certified in cardiology, Dr. Nguyen has practiced cardiology in Houston since 1988. His clinical interests include general cardiology, congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, hypertension, internal medicine and preventive medicine.

Fluent in Vietnamese and Spanish, he treats patients 18 years of age and older. Dr. Nguyen delivers highly personalized care to his patients and takes the time necessary to fully listen to their concerns and for them to understand their treatment plans. He believes that his patients must understand their medical condition to they can be actively involved in their medical care.

A resident of Houston, Dr. Nguyen is married and has two sons. He enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his family.
