Dr. Shakeel Uddin, MD

Dr. Shakeel Uddin earned his medical degree from Sind Medical College at the University of Karachi in Pakistan. He then completed his internship and residency at Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana. This was followed by a research fellowship at the National Institute Health in Bethesda, Maryland and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at McGovren Medical School at UTHealth in Houston.

Board certified in cardiology, Dr. Uddin has practiced medicine in Houston since 1995. His clinical interests include acute cardiovascular situations such as heart attack, cardiogenic shock and various life threatening arrhythmias.

Dr. Uddin strives to provide each patient with the latest in cardiac care. He believes in taking care of the risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus II, hypercholesterolemia, obesity and tobacco abuse. He believes in preventive cardiology and that he can make a difference in the eventual outcome of a patient’s condition. Dr. Uddin treats patients from 18 years old and speaks Urdu.

In his free time, Dr. Uddin enjoys philosophical writing as well as spending time with his family and friends.
