Dr. Rohit Bhuriya, MD

Dr. Rohit Bhuriya is a graduate of B.J. Medical College inAhmedabad, Gujarat, India. He completed his internship and residency in cardiology at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science- Chicago School of Medicine, where he was named Outstanding Intern of the Year and Outstanding Graduating Resident of the Year. He completed his fellowship in interventional cardiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai in New York City.

Board certified in internal medicine, general cardiology and interventional cardiology, Dr. Bhuriya has practiced medicine since 2000. His clinical interests include general cardiology, echocardiogram, stress test, holter and event monitoring, coronary angiography and angioplasty, coronary stenting, peripheral angiography, angioplasty and stenting, valvular heart disease, atrial fibrillation and other arrythmia management.

Dr. Bhuriya offers the complete spectrum of cardiac care to patients 18 years and older. His top priority is his patients. He takes the time needed to explain their conditions and treatments and to answer any question. He speaks Hindi and Gujarati.

The author of articles for medical journals, Dr. Bhuriya is a member of the American College of Cardiology, Texas Medical Association and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He was named Top Doc for the fall quarter of 2015 by Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital.

A Pearland resident, Dr. Bhuriya enjoys travelling in his spare time.
