Dr. Lalitha Sunder, MD

Dr. Lalitha Sunder  graduated summa cum  laude from Bangalore University Faculty of Medicine in Karnataka, India. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine followed by her fellowship in adult cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She then completed her fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Board certified in cardiology and interventional cardiology, Dr. Sunder has been practicing cardiology since 1998. Her clinical interests include cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, evaluation of chest pain, arrhythmias, hypertension, cholesterol issues, peripheral vascular disease, heart failure, stents (coronary and peripheral), and pacemakers.

Dr. Sunder believes in looking at the whole patient; their co-existing medical conditions, symptoms and drugs. She is a firm believer in disease prevention, lifestyle management and risk reduction. Dr. Sunder treats adult patients and speaks Hindi.

Dr. Sunder has three daughters. In her time away from the clinic, she enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking and reading.
