Dr. Ekpete earned her medical degree from ATSU - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO. She went on to complete her internship at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK and her residency at Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, FL. She then completed her fellowship in cardiology at Medical City in Fort Worth, TX. Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Ekpete served as a medic in the U.S. Army for four years.
Dr. Ekpete offers care for a broad scope of cardiovascular issues for patients 18 years of age and older. She is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases through the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.
She treats patients for a variety of cardiovascular conditions, including shortness of breath, heart attacks, heart failure, palpitations and chest pain. Her primary clinical interest is prevention of cardiovascular disease.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
