Dr. Aamir Abbas earned his medical degree at UT Health San Antonio Medical School, where he later completed a fellowship. He finished an internship and residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and a second fellowship at Houston Methodist Hospital.

Dr. Abbas is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. He has been in practice since 2011, specializing in cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure transplant cardiology. His primary clinical interests are heart failure, cardiomyopathy, pulmonary hypertension, left ventricular assist device (LVAD) therapy and heart transplantation. He speaks Gujarati and Urdu.

Reflecting his focus on personalized and compassionate care for each patient, his practice philosophy emphasizes spending time with his patients, listening to their stories and educating them about their conditions.
