Dr. Naktal Hamoud earned his medical degree at the University of Baghdad College of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, followed by fellowships at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and the Mayo Clinic-Phoenix.

Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology, Dr. Hamoud treats adults and seniors for complex cardiac arrhythmias. He also speaks Arabic.

His clinical interests focus on catheter ablation of complex cardiac arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation (AF), ventricular tachycardia (VT) and supraventricular tachycardia (STV), as well as implantation and follow up of cardiac device therapy, including conventional and leadless pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators.

An assistant professor of internal medicine-clinical cardiac electrophysiology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, he is a member of the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society.
