Dr. Jie Cheng earned his medical degree from Shanghai Medical University in Shanghai City, Shanghai, China. He received residency training in internal medicine and received a PhD in biomedical engineering at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Cheng’s fellowship in cardiology was completed at the University of Chicago in Illinois and fellowship in electrophysiology was completed at the University of California in San Francisco.

Board certified in electrophysiology and cardiology, Dr. Cheng specializes in cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology. His clinical interests include ablations and cutting-edge technology.

In practice since 1982, Dr. Cheng treats patients 16 years and older. Fluent in Mandarin and Spanish, his practice philosophy is to treat the whole patient and not just the individual condition. He offers his patients the latest in electrophysiology, technology and treatments.

Dr. Cheng has been invited to speak at a number of medical schools and is heavily involved in research.

A resident of Bellaire, Dr. Cheng and his wife have two daughters. Away from the office, he enjoys attending the symphony and playing table tennis.
