Samuel Rocha, PA-C

Advanced practice provider Samuel Rocha is a board-certified physician assistant who specializes in cardiology. He also holds American Heart Association certificates in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support.

Samuel completed his Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Texas State University in San Marcos and his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg.

Coming from a medically underserved area, Samuel wanted to become a medical provider to assist those who need healthcare. His career allows him to connect with people and help them live the healthiest life possible.

While his clinical experience includes internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, surgery, psychiatry, emergency medicine, women’s health and cardiology, his primary clinical interest is cardiology, specifically in the challenges presented by managing heart failure.

Samuel’s approach to patient care is personal and patient-centered. He enjoys creating connections with patients that help him better understand the best approach to accomplish their goals. He wants patients to see him as thorough, well-rounded and compassionate with their care.

Patient interaction is Samuel’s favorite part of practicing medicine. No two patients are the same and he enjoys meeting people from all walks of life.

In his spare time, Samuel enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking, going to the gym and playing with his Siberian husky, Kota.
