Phil Sheedy earned an undergraduate degree in exercise science and a doctorate in physical therapy from Northeastern University. He is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and he also has advanced training in vestibular and concussion management.
Phil’s areas of interest and specialization include hip, knee and sports injuries. He is a member of Memorial Hermann’s Hip Preservation Program team, Knee Institute team and Upper Extremity Center of Excellence team. Phil leads research for the Hip Preservation program and is involved in teaching and research in the areas of hip preservation and soccer medicine. He has presented research at national meetings and published in peer-reviewed journals. His Memorial Hermann collaborations include Houston Dynamo/Dash and various university soccer teams.
He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Texas Physical Therapy Association, and he serves as Education Chair for the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy Hip Special Interest Group. In his leisure time, Phil enjoys playing soccer, skiing, cycling and generally any outdoor activities.
