Mitchell, from Cairo, Egypt, completed his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University – College Station. He then attended Texas Woman’s University – Houston to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Mitchel is a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapists.
Mitchell has special interests in spine and knee injuries and enjoys working with the geriatric population and the young athletic spine. Since his residency year at Memorial Hermann, he has been a part of the Spine Program and completed research investigating differences in cervical deep neck flexor endurance testing between patients who undergo conservative versus operative care. When not in the clinic, you will likely find Mitchell playing basketball or soccer, serving in his Church community, traveling, or watching his Rockets, Astros or Texans teams on TV.
