Erik Calzada, PT, DPT, ATC/LAT

Erik Calzada earned his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Texas Christian University and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Residency-trained and a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy, Erik also has advanced certification in dry needling.

Erik’s areas of interest and specialization include sports injuries, particularly of the knee, elbow, shoulder and ankle. He is a member of Memorial Hermann's Knee Center of Excellence and Baseball Medicine program teams.

His Memorial Hermann collaborations include working with Sam Houston State University sports medicine. He is involved in teaching and research involving sports-related knee Injuries and is on the faculty of Division I Sports and Upper Extremity Fellowship programs. Erik is a member of the Sports Academy of the American Physical Therapy Association.

He enjoys attending TCU Horned Frog sporting events and spending time with his wife and two dachshunds.
