Erik received a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Texas Christian University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and is a residency trained and Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy.
Erik’s areas of interest and specialization include sports injuries, particularly of the knee and shoulder, concussion management, and is a member of our Knee Center of Excellence.
He has/have advanced certification/training in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), manual therapy and return to sport management. Erik’s Memorial Hermann collaborations include Sam Houston State University. He is involved in teaching/research involving Sports-Related Knee Injuries and has presented research at national meetings. Erik is a member of the Sports Academy of the American Physical Therapy Association. He enjoys attending sporting events of his alma mater TCU Horned Frogs and spending time with his dog, Maverick.
