Dustin received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Sam Houston State university, a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Angelo State University, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Temple University. Dustin is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy.
Dr. Bessire’s areas of interest and specialization include sports injuries in the adolescent to middle aged athlete, tendinopathies, hip, knee, ankle/ foot, shoulder, and athletic spine. Dustin is a member of our Hip Preservation Program team. He has advanced certification/training as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic and Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT), and strength & conditioning.
Dustin’s Memorial Hermann collaborations include Sam Houston State University Athletics in collaboration with their Athletic Trainers. Dr. Bessire is involved in teaching/research involving Hip Preservation and serves as Faculty and Mentor for the Memorial Hermann Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy Residency program.
Dustin is a member of the Texas Physical Therapy Association, the American Physical Therapy Association, and the American Academy of Orthopedic and Manual Physical Therapists.
Dustin enjoys collegiate sports, weight lifting, running, and hunting/ fishing, and spending time with his family.
