Advanced practice provider Dominick Scott is a board-certified adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner. He is also certified in basic life support, advanced cardiovascular life support, stroke severity assessment and suicide intervention. His primary clinical interest is in cardiology and its impact on overall health and wellness.
After earning an undergraduate degree in human biology at The University of Texas at Austin, Dominick completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. After four years as a registered nurse, he became a nurse practitioner in 2023.
Dominick was drawn to medicine as a career by a lifelong fascination with the human body and its functions, plus the opportunity to continuously learn while applying knowledge to help improve people’s lives.
With a belief in a patient-centered approach, Dominick prioritizes compassion, active listening and individualized care tailored to each person’s unique needs. He wants patients to feel that he truly listens to their concerns, provides meaningful support and positively impacts their health and well-being.
His greatest professional fulfillment comes from seeing tangible improvements in his patients’ health and knowing that his care has made a difference in their lives.
In his free time, Dominick enjoys playing basketball, watching sports and unwinding with a good TV show.
