David Nguyen, AGACNP-BC

David Nguyen earned both his bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degree in adult-gerontology acute care nursing practice at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

He is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse who is also certified in cardiac vascular nursing and has certificates in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support. He speaks Vietnamese.

While David enjoys all aspects of patient care, his primary clinical interest is in cardiology, particularly procedures and new technology. His clinical experience as registered nurse includes neuro-trauma and cardiac and vascular procedures, as well as management of critically ill patients with devices, including minimally invasive left ventricular assist devices (LVADs), balloon pumps and ventilators.

David’s approach to care is to build strong rapport with each individual patient. Getting to know patients and their unique stories helps him understand them better and allows him to provide patient-centered care. 

Outside of work, David enjoys world travel, good coffee, live concerts and spending time with his wife and dogs.
