Cindy Lin is a board-certified physician assistant who has been in practice since 2015. She specializes in urology.
Cindy earned her undergraduate degree in molecular cellular biology with a minor in chemistry from Vanderbilt University and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
Her passion for helping others began with volunteering at nursing homes, food banks and assisting with children’s science programs. During one summer in college, she participated in a medical mission trip to Belize and that solidified her decision to pursue a career in healthcare.
Her professional experience as an internal medicine hospitalist exposed her to all aspects of medicine, including urology. She enjoys her focus on urology as it allows a balance between procedural skills and patient education. She also appreciates the continuity of care that comes with treating patients over time and seeing their quality of life improve.
Cindy wants her patients to feel comfortable when they are with her, particularly when it’s necessary to bring up sensitive topics and concerns. She listens, validates, and responds with empathy while helping and supporting her patients. The goal is to work together to formulate a treatment plan that will address any concerns and also ensure a healthy lifestyle.
Her greatest professional satisfaction comes from using her medical knowledge to make a visible and significant impact on patients’ quality of life. This has allowed her to forge long-lasting relationships, based on care and trust.
A resident of Katy, Cindy enjoys spending her spare time with her husband and two children. A self-described foodie, she enjoys trying new restaurants. She also enjoys practicing yoga, gardening and hiking.
