Christi Jensen, MSN, RN, FNP family nurse practitioner at the Memorial Hermann Medical Group Alvin practice, graduated from UTMB in Galveston. She sees patients two years and older and her clinical interests include sports medicine and management of chronic diseases. Among the many conditions Christi treats, she sees patients for acute illnesses, such as cold, cough, flu, sports injuries, well woman exams and chronic disease management for conditions like hypertension and diabetes.

Jensen has been a nurse practitioner since 2001 and chose this career because she enjoyed being a nurse and helping patients dissect the root of their concern. “People have unique situations and no one is the same. I cater my treatment to each patient differently in a way they can understand what is right for their situation” said Jensen. A good listener and dependable, Christi enjoys the continuous care that family medicine provides. She believes it is important to create relationships with her patients and help them find ways to live a healthier life.

Listening is a primary component in Christi’s practice and she strives on learning about her patients’ needs and their concerns.

In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities, weight lifting and reading.
