Brian Duncan, PT, DPT

Dr. Brian Duncan serves as Director of Memorial Hermann’s Division 1 Fellowship in collaboration with Texas A&M University and the University of Houston.  Additionally, he serves as the Director of Memorial Hermann Rockets Sports Medicine Institute at Shepherd Square.  He holds his clinical doctorate in physical therapy, is board-certified in both orthopeadic & sports physical therapy, and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic and Manual Physical Therapists. Dr. Duncan is passionate about elevating the delivery of care in the sports medicine space through post-graduate residency and fellowship education.

Professionally, he serves as faculty for the Affiliated Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship, and he has served as an adjunct professor in graduate programs at both Texas Woman’s University and the University of Houston. He has served in leadership roles on the local level in several different capacities and most recently served as Vice Chair of the Specialization Special Interest Group for the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapists. He has received several professional honors including the Southeastern District of the TPTA Excellence in Clinical Practice Award, Dorn Long Outstanding Clinical Instructor Award, APTA Emerging Leader Award, and the APTA Signe Brunnström Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching. When not working he loves spending time with his wife and six children, playing sports, and being outdoors.
