Alexia Martinez earned her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Keiser University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She completed advanced orthopedic and splint training in the Memorial Hermann Hand Fellowship Program and has advanced certification and training in dry needling and manual therapy.
Her areas of interest and specialization include shoulder, elbow, wrist-hand trauma and sports injuries.
Alexia is a contributing faculty member of Memorial Hermann’s Occupational Therapy Hand Fellowship Program and a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and American Society of Hand Therapists. She has presented at the Texas Society of Hand Therapy Conference on “Improving Digital Range of Motion and Preventing Hand Stiffness Using an Intrinsic Minus Orthosis.”
Away from her practice, Alexia enjoys going to the gym, cooking new foods, camping at state and national parks and spending time with her family.
