Susan E. Griffin, RN, was recently appointed to chief patient care officer at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center. In her new role, Griffin is responsible for ensuring efficient, safe and effective patient care while overseeing medical staff relations, financial performance, compliance with regulatory agencies and customer satisfaction.
Griffin joined Memorial Hermann from Conroe Regional Medical Center, where she served as chief nursing officer since 2004. She also served as chief nursing officer at Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center and Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Florida. Griffin has an extensive background in emergency services and critical care nursing, as well as surgical oncology and cardiology. Griffin earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas, and holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Bellarmine College in Louisville, Kentucky. She and her husband and three children currently reside in Magnolia, Texas.
