Sharif Palmer, MD, a board certified physician in both pain medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation, has joined Memorial Hermann’s Mischer Neuroscience Associates – Cypress.
Dr. Palmer’s expertise in rehabilitation is particularly valuable in chronic pain cases, giving him a variety of tools to help patients beyond traditional pain management. His holistic approach to treatment considers the entire person, looking beyond symptoms to locate the root of a problem and to help patients find relief.
He earned a medical degree at The University of Queensland Medical School-Ochsner Clinical School, Brisbane, Australia, and New Orleans. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y., his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and a fellowship in pain medicine at MetroHealth/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
