The Memorial Hermann Health System recently announced the appointment of Paul O'Sullivan as CEO of the Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute - Texas Medical Center. O'Sullivan assumed the position on June 14.
"I look forward to working with the physician leadership and employees at this nationally recognized Institute. My role will be to continue to guide the Institute in a direction that ensures growth, quality, operational excellence as well as patient, employee and physician satisfaction," said O'Sullivan.
O'Sullivan brings with him more than two decades of experience in healthcare. He began his career with the Department of Health in Ireland working in hospital facility and service line development. For the past 10 years, he has served in a range of leadership roles in hospitals throughout the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System. Most recently, O'Sullivan served as the Chief Operating Officer for Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital. His leadership played an instrumental role in helping Memorial Hermann Katy achieve recognition from Thomson Reuters in its annual 100 Top Hospitals® National Benchmarks study.

As COO, O'Sullivan was instrumental in the successful launch of Memorial Hermann Katy, a $113 million facility expansion. Concurrent with his role at Memorial Hermann Katy, O'Sullivan also served as an officer and board member of Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation Hospital Katy.
