Petar "Pete" Turcinovic has been named president of staff of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center. Turcinovic takes on this new role after serving as president-elect of the hospital's medical staff for the past two years.
"Dr. Turcinovic has been affiliated with the hospital for nearly 10 years," said Steve Sanders, chief executive officer. "His experience with Memorial Hermann The Woodlands' operations, his relationship with the medical staff and his strong leadership ability will serve him well as president of the medical staff."
Turcinovic said, "I am honored to have been elected president of the medical staff at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands. Having spent the entire span of my medical career here, I have a special interest in the success of this hospital. I believe I can contribute to the continued growth and quality of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands."
Turcinovic joined Memorial Hermann The Woodlands in 1998 as an associate of The Surgical Group of The Woodlands, after completing his residency training at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. He holds his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, Turcinovic is a graduate of the McCullough High School (now known as The Woodlands High School).
