Memorial Hermann Mischer Neuroscience Associates (MNA) is pleased to announce the addition of board-certified neurologist Guy Burrows, MD.
Dr. Burrows will serve as a neurologist at Mischer Neuroscience Associates-The Woodlands. His specialties include sleep medicine, peripheral nerve disorders and neuromuscular disease.
Prior to joining Mischer Neuroscience Associates, Dr. Burrows was in private practice in California, with hospital affiliations at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Desert Regional Medical Center. He provided immune-mediated polyneuropathy management, including IVIG treatments and pain management at both locations, and was involved in resident teaching at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
He has extensive healthcare experience and has served as a general medical officer and flight surgeon at Fairford Air Force Base in Fairford, United Kingdom; as flight surgeon at Scott Air Force Base in St. Clair County Illinois; and as wing surgeon general and chief flight surgeon in Oman during Operation Desert Storm, where he oversaw a 1,000-bed hospital and associated clinics.
Dr. Burrows received his medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C. He is a past vice chair of the American Academy of Neurology’s Pain and Palliative Care Section and served as moderator of an AAN course during his term of service.
