HOUSTON (February 29, 2016)

Memorial Hermann commemorates Leap year babies with special celebrationHospitals across the Memorial Hermann Health System commemorated the extra special birthdays of babies delivered on Feb. 29 with a special surprise to celebrate the occasion that happens just once every four years.

Each newborn who arrived on Leap Day received a frog hat or a hooded bath towel decorated with a frog, the unofficial symbol of Leap Year.

Memorial Hermann would like to congratulate the proud parents of all the little “leaplings” born today! These babies won’t officially turn one until this day in 2020.
