HOUSTON (August 20, 2009)

A leader in progressive healthcare, the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System has joined forces with Anuncio Digital Media to provide the latest healthcare information to the community by providing digital displays throughout the Memorial Hermann network of healthcare facilities and doctor's offices. The new Memorial Hermann "Patient Connection Network" will display patient education programs, as well as general and location-specific public healthcare information and third-party advertising.

"The Patient Connection Network will keep consumers informed of breaking health news - such as the H1N1 (swine flu) outbreak - as well as offer preventive information, including warning signs and symptoms that could indicate a serious condition," said David Bradshaw, chief marketing and information officer at Memorial Hermann.

"Through Anuncio, Memorial Hermann is also partnering with organizations such as the American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen, and the American Cancer Society to bring patients the most relevant health information possible," said David Morgan, president and CEO of Anuncio.

Doctors' responses to the program have been extremely positive. Sonia Gyamlani, MD, of Internal Medicine for Memorial Hermann Medical Group said, "I welcome the opportunity to provide this service for my patients. The patient response to the interactive content has been extremely positive. It evokes interest regardless of your prior healthcare knowledge."

The new Patient Connection Network offers consumers an easy and fast method to stay informed on important healthcare topics.
