John Voight, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, has been named Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center. Voight recently served as CNO at HCA Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Voight began his career in health care as a registered nurse at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Fla., and since then has held leadership positions at respected institutions across the country, including Albany Medical Center, Atlanta Medical Center, St. Elizabeth Healthcare System and HCA. At HCA Ocala Regional Medical Center, Voight served as the vice president for Emergency Services where he oversaw the strategic operations of the hospital-based emergency departments, and helped open the second busiest freestanding ED within HCA. He completed his time at Ocala as the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer before being promoted to the Chief Nursing Officer position at HCA Oviedo Medical Center.
Voight also served in the U.S. Army before earning his Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree from Pensacola State College and Master of Science in Nursing degree from Walden University College of Nursing. A lifelong learner, he is currently pursuing his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Nurses Association, and the Emergency Nurses Association. John is board certified as a Nurse Executive – Advanced by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
