HOUSTON (November 28, 2017)

Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center has been named to Becker's Hospital Review’s 2017 edition of its “100 Hospitals and Health Systems With Great Orthopedic Programs” list. This is the second year in a row Memorial Hermann Memorial City has made the list.

“This recognition is a great acknowledgement of the commitment to patient safety and quality demonstrated daily by physicians, our clinical staff and employees,” says Paul O’Sullivan, Senior Vice President and CEO of Memorial Hermann Memorial City. “We know how important mobility is to maintaining good health and are proud to help patients return to an active lifestyle.”

The Becker's Healthcare editorial team examined several rankings and ratings to develop this list, including U.S. News & World Report rankings for orthopedics, CareChex rankings for major orthopedic surgery, Blue Distinction Centers for hip and knee replacement and the program's reputation for innovation.

This is the second recognition given to the orthopedic program at Memorial Hermann Memorial City in recent months. Memorial Hermann Memorial City also recently received Advanced Certification from The Joint Commission for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement.

The Center for Advanced Orthopedics at Memorial Hermann Memorial City is a 90,000 square foot facility offering high-quality, comprehensive, and fully-dedicated orthopedic care. Affiliated physicians can perform both in-patient and outpatient procedures in the Center, ranging from joint replacement and revisions, to surgery for knee, hip, foot and ankle, shoulder, and elbow bone and soft tissue conditions and injuries.
