Feby Abraham, PhD, Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for Memorial Hermann Health System, has been named one of the Top Chief Strategy Officers for Health Systems for 2022 by Becker’s Hospital Review.
Dr. Abraham joined Memorial Hermann in January 2020 after spending 12 years as a partner at McKinsey & Co., a private equity firm. In his role, Dr. Abraham is responsible for managing the system's strategic priorities and making sure they align with the system’s vision to create healthier communities, now and for generations to come.
“I am grateful to be included along with several other talented peers in the industry,” Dr. Abraham said. “I am honored to be representing Memorial Hermann and collaborating with so many great colleagues and partners on transforming how health care is delivered to our patients.”
According to Becker’s, a chief strategy officer is an advisor, problem-solver and optimizer who drives forward key deals and initiatives aligned with the health system's core mission and growth. Chief strategy officers are champions of digital transformation and cultural shifts for the organization to deliver better, more effective patient care. All those chosen were measured by these criteria.
"I am delighted to see Feby honored by Becker’s Hospital Review with this well-deserved recognition for his hard work and dedication to our organization," said Dr. David Callender, President and CEO of Memorial Hermann. "Feby plays a pivotal role in our mission to improve the health of Greater Houston. His outstanding leadership and foresight have made him a valuable asset for our system, and I’m proud to have him as part of our executive leadership team."
Abraham earned a PhD in mechanical engineering from Rice University and a Bachelor of Technology in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai.
