Memorial Hermann Health System proudly announces that Matt Pruitt, Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, has been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s list of ‘Rising Stars: Healthcare Leaders Under 40’ for 2026.
According to Becker’s, the list recognizes some of the most dynamic, creative and forward-thinking minds working across the health care industry today.
Pruitt oversees financial strategy and operations across Memorial Hermann’s academic hospitals. His recent work includes leading planning for the expansion of Memorial Hermann Cancer Center-Texas Medical Center, shaping a growth plan for Children’s Memorial Hermann focused on pediatric heart care and other key services, and supporting the expansion of Memorial Hermann’s Life Flight fleet.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Pruitt is a mission-driven leader, demonstrating his commitment to his community by serving on the board of the Houston chapter of the National Association of Health Services Executives and mentoring multiple mentees through the organization, in addition to mentoring five more through Memorial Hermann’s aspiring leader program.
