Jazba Soomro MDJazba Soomro, MD, a board-certified vascular and interventional neurologist and stroke specialist, has joined Memorial Hermann’s Mischer Neuroscience Associates – Northeast.

Dr. Soomro’s primary clinical interests include medical and interventional management of ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, brain aneurysm, brain and spine arteriovenous malformations, arteriovenous fistulas, subdural hemorrhage, arterial and venous stenosis, and interventional procedures. She treats patients ages 18 and older.

She earned a medical degree from Karachi University Jinnah Medical and Dental College in Pakistan, followed by an adult neurology residency at Saint Louis University in Missouri. She went on to complete a fellowship in vascular neurology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and a fellowship in endovascular surgical neuroradiology at the Texas Stroke Institute in Dallas/Fort Worth.

Dr. Soomro is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Sindhi, which enhances her ability to connect with a diverse patient population. She is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology, Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology and the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.
