Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital hosts a free seminar on Saturday, Nov. 1 about the benefits and risks of deep brain stimulation (DBS) therapy for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, tremor, and dystonia.

The seminar, “Refuse to Surrender,” featuring Neurosurgeon Albert Fenoy, M.D., starts at 10:30 a.m. in Classrooms A and B at Memorial Hermann Northeast, 18951 Memorial North. Attendees should enter the West Entrance on the McKay Blvd. side of the hospital.

Fenoy, a board-certified neurosurgeon affiliated with Memorial Hermann Mischer Neuroscience Institute, specializes in cranial neurosurgery and deep brain stimulation for movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease and essential tremor. He has presented research at several national conferences that has subsequently been published in Clinical Neurosurgery, Journal of Neurosurgery, Brain Research, Pediatric Neurosurgery, Hearing Research, and Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine.
