Memorial Hermann Health System proudly announces that Eric Smith, Senior Vice President, Chief Digital Officer, has been named to Becker's Hospital Review's 2024 list of 'Chief Digital Officers of Hospitals and Health Systems to Know.'
According to Becker's, this list recognizes chief digital officers responsible with overseeing technology integration, improving the patient journey and increasing care access through digital initiatives across a specific hospital or health care system.

Smith's strategic initiatives include the deployment of a consumer scheduling engine and a digital forms solution for patients. He also established a patient and physician relationship platform, enhancing care coordination through unified messaging and a voice bot. Smith serves as one of the System’s essential architects guiding Memorial Hermann’s transition to Epic electronic health records, effective 2024.
