Dr. Francisco Moreno earned his medical degree at National Autonomous University in Mexico City and completed his internship and residency at the University of Miami at Coral Gables, Fla., Baylor College of Medicine-Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston and Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas.
Dr. Moreno has been in practice in the Houston area since 1980. His primary clinical interests are preventive medicine, neonatology, infections, respiratory problems and ADD/ADHD (attention deficit disorder). He sees patients from birth to age 18 and is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.
His practice philosophy is based on creating a team between parents and caregivers that ensures healthy development of children. Dr. Moreno’s patients give him very positive ratings, particularly his ability to answer questions, the clarity of his instructions and his friendly, caring attitude. One example of extra consideration is the practice’s separate sick- and well-child waiting areas.
Dr. Moreno is a member of the Harris County Medical Association and a former chief of pediatrics at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital.
In his leisure time, Dr. Moreno enjoys hiking, mountain climbing, scuba diving and astronomy.
