Dr. Vi Nguyen, MD

Dr. Vi Nguyen earned her medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados. She completed an internship at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans and a residency in internal medicine at Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas.

In practice since 2009, Dr. Nguyen is board certified in family medicine. She provides a broad range of primary care and treats all chronic conditions, with special clinical interest in diabetes, hypertension and depression. Dr. Nguyen sees patients of all ages -- newborns to seniors -- and speaks Vietnamese.

Dr. Nguyen bases her practice on helping patients maintain a healthy lifestyle and educating them on current health issues. She treats her patients holistically, attending to both the physical and mental aspects of good health. Her patients value her thoroughness and the fact that she takes time to carefully explain everything to them.

She is a member of the American Academy of Family Practitioners, Texas Medical Association and Harris County Medical Society.

A resident of Houston, Dr. Nguyen is married and the mother of a young son. Her favorite non-medical pastimes are fishing, exercising and supporting mission work.
