Dr. Rajiv Agarwal earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Dr. Agarwal, who has been in practice since 1999, is board certified in cardiovascular medicine and cardiovascular CT/CTA. His primary clinical interests are prevention, early diagnosis of heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol and symptoms of heart disease, including chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, dizziness, leg pains and fatigue. He treats patients 16 years and older and speaks Spanish, Vietnamese, Hindi and Urdu.
In a practice that focuses on modern-day prevention for the modern-day patient, Dr. Agarwal is noted for spending lots of time with patients and getting to know them in all aspects of their lives. He works to solve the root cause of their symptoms and aims for a cure rather than a long-term treatment plan that depends on medications.
