Dr. Konstantinos Charitakis earned his medical degree at the University of Crete Medical School in Greece. He completed an internship, residency in internal medicine and fellowships in cardiovascular disease, cardiovascular genetics and interventional cardiology at New York Presbyterian Hospital of Cornell and Columbia.

In practice since 1998, Dr. Charitakis is board certified in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, internal medicine and interventional cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Interventions and a member of the American Heart Association.

He treats patients 18 years and older and speaks Greek.

Dr. Charitakis’s primary clinical interests are high-risk PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention), radial PCI, hemodynamic support and peripheral interventions. He is known for performing high-risk procedures with a low complication rate. Patients value his success in procedures, affable manner and ability to put them at ease.

Dr. Charitakis enjoys cycling, playing tennis, cooking Greek dishes and watching classic movies in his spare time.
