Board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery, Dr. Harlin has practiced medicine since 1989. He specializes in minimally invasive vascular surgery, peripheral venous disease, venous insufficiency and peripheral vascular disease. His clinical interests include varicose vein treatment, sclerotherapy, venous ulcer treatments, endovascular therapy, chronic venous insufficiency, carotid stenting, aortic aneurysms, thrombolysis, carotid disease and dialysis access, balloon angioplasty, minimally invasive aortic reconstructions, peripheral endovascular interventions and medical management of vascular diseases.
Dr. Harlin treats patients 18 years and older and takes his time to learn about his patients’ conditions and assess all treatment options. His patients appreciate his professional bedside manner and continued follow-ups throughout treatment.
A decorated Air Force medical veteran, Dr. Harlin serves as an associate professor and the director of outpatient vascular operations in the department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston. He is active in several vascular research studies and has published articles in prominent medical journals.
