Rory Owen, MD, MPH, received his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Owen completed a family medicine residency at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, Calif., and additional residencies in aerospace medicine and occupational medicine at the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine at Brooks Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He also received a master of public health degree from Harvard University.
Dr. Owen provides a broad scope of occupational care, from preventive services such as pre-employment physicals and interpretation of screening exams, to diagnosis and treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses. As an occupational medicine physician, Dr. Owen teams up with employers to serve as a medical provider, facilitator and effective communicator, by helping employers and their employees reasonably align their expectations. His favorite part of practicing medicine is interacting with diverse groups of people, and he also enjoys caring for people during their working years. By helping to keep people productive and safe on their job, Dr. Owen strives to ensure employees under his care can continue to support their families and pursue their dreams and goals.
