Dr. Hina Dave is a board-certified neurologist specializing in refractory epilepsy and clinical trials for new drug and device therapies. An associate professor at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, Dr. Dave serves as clinical trials leader of the Texas Comprehensive Epilepsy Program, a collaboration of McGovern Medical School and Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, and serves as medical director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center. In addition, she sees patients at UTHealth Houston Neurosciences Neurology – The Woodlands.
Dr. Dave received her medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, La., and completed residency training in neurology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pa. She went on to complete a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., followed by fellowship training in epilepsy at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Prior to joining McGovern Medical School, UTHealth Houston Neurosciences and the Texas Comprehensive Epilepsy Program, she practiced at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Dr. Dave is a reviewer for Neurology, a journal of the American Academy of Neurology, and Epilepsia, a journal of the International League Against Epilepsy. She is a member of the International League Against Epilepsy, The Epilepsy Study Consortium, the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society and the American Epilepsy Society.
In her free time, she enjoys checking out the local trails and attending art events.
